2005 Coffee Trip to Ethiopia
David McKernan travelled to Ethiopia with Connect Ethiopia in 2005 and experienced a coffee trip with a difference. See the lifestyle of coffee farmers in Ethiopia and look out for the butcher's shop (makes you think about life differently!) We also got a real insider view into what was going on in David's head. 2006 Coffee Trip to Ethiopia
So the trip to Ethiopia in 2006 was even more harsh. David arranged a trip for a group of customers, staff and journalists literally in the middle of nowhere. Sure what better way to find out about coffee and coffee farmers but in Illili Darartu, Harar. This trip further cemented David's desire to help Ethiopian Coffee Farmers and affected those who were on the trip with David. The idea to raise money for to establish fresh water was borne.

We travelled to Nicaragua with a group of staff, customers, documentary journalists and photographers. See our trip on location through photos and see everyday life on a coffee farm. Motorbikes, guitars aren't out of place in this beautiful country.

2010 Coffee Trip to Ethiopia
The trip to Ethiopia was harsh and difficult for those who travelled out to Illili Daratu. Work on the water project hadn't progressed despite the fantastic management of the water project by Plan Ireland and David was particularly gutted.
