When harvesting tea, the estates can either dry the leaves - creating black tea - or steam the leaves, creating green teas.
Green teas have a characteristic fresh taste and contain extremely high amounts of polyphenols. These are natural elements that play a very important part in the immune system, blocking free radicals and having antibacterial and antioxidant benefits. Black tea also contains polyphenols, while Rooibos is caffeine free, and has an especially high content of beneficial minerals, antioxidants and polyphenols. Wild Berry Infusion is also caffeine free, and offeres high levels of vitamin C in the dried rose-hip peels.
The teas are packed in a specially designed one-cup full leaf teabag, allowing the leaf to unfold and release its full flavour. When brewing Real Leaf Tea, allow three minutes for the flavour to activate - but take five minutes to relax and enjoy the ritual. With green teas, some cultures have a tradition of disposing the first infusion, as the second cup has a milder taste - but there are no hard and fast rules.
