David has strong vision and an incisive business mind. In twelve short years, David has started, grown, developed and guided his vision to a successful and prosperous business; all the while maintaining openness in communication and ethics that it unparalleled in the coffee industry.
Grace joined Java Republic in 2006. With a great deal of experience in speciality manufacturing (holding senior managerial positions in both Lír Chocolates and Kylemore Bakeries) Grace was appointed Managing Director in February 2008 - in a perfect position to manage the transition from our original brand house to the world's first purpose-bulit coffee roastery.
Jeffrey Long joined Java Republic in 2008, and originally hails from the Kingdom of Kerry. Jeff has over twelve years experience in finance and also has a commercial and operational background in companies such as Diageo, United Beverages and H&K International. Jeff also looks after office administration.
Tessa has been the creative brain behind the brand for the last seven years at Java Republic. She has over 22 years experience and has strong creative vision. Tessa hails from the wonderful South Africa and has somehow managed to retain her accent after moving to Ireland 10 years ago.
Alan Cashman: Sales Manager
Alan joined Java Republic in 2008 with a wealth of experience in the foodservice industry. Alan has a natural way about him and is incredibly good fun, and has an exceptional business head on his shoulders. Alan manages our sales team and also looks after the Java Republic team of Distributors.
Brian Wall - Area Sales Manager
"If you want to give up work, find the job you love". Brian has over 12 years experience in sales and has been with Java Republic since 2004. Brian looks after accounts in the southside area of Dublin. Brian also happens to be the joker of the company and keeps everyone on their toes with his antics! Brian is also a keen skiier.
Stephen Bell - Area Sales Manager
Stephen joined Java Republic in 2007 following a career in the Hotel and Event Catering Industries. Stephen has an excellent skills mix. a natural sales ability and great customer relationship skills. Stephen looks after the northside.
Aine Keating - Coffee @ Work Sales Manager
Aine (who has a fantastic reputation within the coffee industry) joined Java Republic with more than 20 years experience in 2007. She is an integral part of the sales team and focuses on business development in the coffee-at-work sector, while maintaining existing coffee at work relationships.
Gail Henshall: Business Development Executive
Gail joined Java Republic as part of the Coffee at Work team in 2008 and has moved into Business Development under the foodserive umbrella. Gail has a natural charm.
Colin Mulrooney - Operations Manager
Colin began work in Java Republic as Business Administrator, progressed rapidly to purchasing planner and is now our Operations Manager. You couldn't meet a nicer bloke and he is also another massive Liverpool fanatic! Colin looks after the warehouse and production teams.
Peter Laird - Senior Coffee Roaster
Peter is the senior coffee roaster and handroasts Java Republic to the highest of standards. Before joining Java Republic, Peter trained as a chef (among a number of other interesting professions.) During the summer months, Peter is a keen festival-goer and his interest in music takes him to different gigs anywhere in the country (hail, rain or snow!)
Ivan started work with with us in January 2008 and, seeing as each of our bean varietals is handroasted by craftsmen, Ivan has since learned all the skills and artistry of the hand roasting process. Not satisfied with that Ivan has challenged ideas and even presented a roasting chart based around numbers to the management team.
On our products: Elaine's favourite product is The Other Bean Kids: she said she just loves the taste of the chocolate and she's a big kid at heart. Elaine we believe you!
Des Quinn- Warehouse Supervisor
Des joined Java Republic in 2006 as part of the warehouse team and progressed to supervisor. Des ensures that all orders are ready to go when required. A very keen fisherman at the weekends and some bank holidays. Oh, and Des is a lover of Bulmers Berry Cider (yes, we're not kidding!) and is an avid Spurs supporter. He feels that there is too much Liverpool talk (and no action!)
Jolanta Turowska- Production
Yolanta joined the production team in 2007. Jolanta is incredibly dedicated, organised and an asset to production. She is also a training to become a roaster - probably the first female roaster in Ireland and maybe the planet. She is an amazing ambassador for Java Republic and makes a mean cup of coffee.
Radic joined our production team in 2010 and is an invaluable asset to production and the warehouse. Radic hails from Poland.Radek has been living in Ireland since 2007 after moving from Chicago where he became a massive fan of American sports.
Shane is the "face of Java Republic" in the Dublin City centre accounts, as he looks after order deliveries for our Dublin accounts. Shane also has a keen interest in gardening (not that we utilise this asset - yet!) and also has been invaluable in taking photographs and putting together video content (an asset that we do utilise!) Shane is also keen on history and nine times out of ten can give you an insight in an entertaining manner.
Alex Lynch - Service Manager
Alex joined Java Republic in December 2005 as a service engineer and was appointed to Service Manager shortly thereafter. He has a vast knowledge of coffee machines and heads up a team of seven. Ok, he's not all work and no play - he has a fantastic sense of humour and is incredibly quick witted. Alex also makes a mean cocktail.
Samantha joined Java Republic in 2010. As the only female in the service department she certainly gets to 'crack the whip' and keep the boys in shape. Very calm and collected, Samantha always has everything under control and is a much valued part of the Java Republic staff. Samantha is also well on her way to becoming an accountant. She is in the final stages of her accountancy degree.
Phil Robbins- Senior Service Engineer
Java Republic's very own David Beckham. Managers from some Java Republic accounts don't like him going in to service their machines as he proves to be such a distraction to the ladies working there and on occasion from a few males too!! Philip has been in Java Republic since 1999. Philip is a talented piano player and has a cracking sense of humour.
Rory McConville- Service Engineer
Rory joined Java Republic in 2004 and mainly services machines for customers located in the southside area of Dublin. Rory is has an incedible quick wit and we have yet to hear anyone get the better of him - we'd pay good money to hear that!
Perfect boy-band material! John joined us in 2006 and looks after machines in the northside area. John is also a sports fanatic and has been known to run many a long-distance race! He also takes to the ocean in summer: surfing, and in winter: the slopes snow-boarding.
Mark Harris- Refurbishment Service Engineer
Mark joined the team in November 2006 and works in-house as our Refurb Engineer. Mark is the one who ensures all machines are tested and working perfectly! He's also big into vintage Volkswagens - actually a shared passion with Samantha Dempsey (who is also a VW beetle fan!)
Eamonn O'Toole is a multi-talented guy. He focuses on checking customer sites before installation to ensure the installation process runs as smoothly as possible. He also forms part of the delivery team along with Shane.
Gerry Hughes - Coffee Quality Control Manager
Gerry joined Java Republic in 2002, adding his energy and fun to the blend. Gerry came to Java Republic with years of experience in the retail environment. Since then has become our "guru" in the art of speciality coffee making and training.
Kasia had previously worked within the Irish Coffee Industry before joining us in March 2007. She is highly experienced, has a wealth of knowledge, and gets on incedibly well with our customers who adore her!
Michelle Farrell - Credit Controller
A frequent visitor of the Annfield Stadium, Liverpool supporter, Michelle has the tricky job of ensuring the cash keeps flowing into the Java Republic account. Michelle has a great relationship with all of our accounts (which always helps when we are looking for money!) Michelle goes beyond and above for Java Republic - a valuable member of staff. Michelle is also involved with 'make a wish' and has been a wish granter since 2004.
On our products: Michelle just loves our Kenyan Tea. She says that her parents, her aunt and her best friend won't drink any other tea.
Jessica Travers - Office Administrator
Jessica joined us in March of 2008. Jessica has a great manner and manages our reception area. She also looks after all order taking, invoices, credit notes and general queries (among many other tasks)! Jessica is also the bubbly voice at the end of the phone.
