Follow these step-by-step instructions to make the perfect cup of coffee using an Aeropress.
Step 1: Measure & finely grind 14g of coffee (1 round Aeropress scoop)
Step 2: Place the filter paper in the filter cap and rinse with hot water
Step 3: Assemble the Aeropress
Step 4: Stand the inverted Aeropress chamber on a mug and add your coffee
Step 5: Add water (92 degrees temperature or 30 seconds off the boil) up to level 3 on the Aeropress. Allow coffee to bloom for 30 seconds and then use the Aeropress paddle to give it a thorough stir.
Step 6: Add more water to bring the level up to above the level 1 circle. Place the rinsed filter paper and cap on top of the brewer and screw it tightly.
Step 7: Flip the Aeropress over a mug and plunge with gentle and steady pressure, stopping as soon as you hear a hissing sound. Total plunging time should be approximately 30 seconds.
