At Java Republic, we believe coffee should never be ordinary — and neither should the packaging it comes in. Each coffee we roast is a tribute to the craft, quality, and people behind the beans, so we knew our new packaging had to match that same level of care and storytelling.
After months of thoughtful design and planning with branding agency Honey Creative, we’re proud to unveil our brand new Premium Range and Limited Edition packaging.
A Taste of the Exceptional: Our Premium Range
Our Hero Range coffees – Rwanda Kinini, Colombia Viani and Peruvian Aproccurma have gotten a premium artisan coffee makeover.
These are exceptional single origins coffees with stellar SCA scores. These curated artisanal coffees are for special occasions, or when you want even more than our everyday brilliance.
We believed the outside packaging should speak to the quality inside. That’s why we’ve introduced a fresh new bag design and label that feels as premium as the coffee tastes.
Our Hero Range – now referred to as our Premium Range – brings together four carefully sourced single origin coffees that represent the best in flavour, quality and sustainability:
- Rwanda Kinini – A bright coffee with tasting notes of candied orange, red grapefruit, brown sugar, honey and grapes. This coffee is produced by a cooperative of over 620 farmers in Rwanda’s Rulindo District, 85% of whom are women. The Kinini project, initiated by the charity A New Beginning, supports communities displaced by the 1994 genocide, funding vital initiatives such as healthcare, clean water, and education. - Colombia Viani – A silky, smooth cup with apple, chocolate, nuts and biscuit tasting notes. What makes this coffee extra special is its connection to the Crecer Project – a sustainability initiative that directly supports farmers and protects biodiversity. - Peruvian Aproccurma– This coffee is a delightful combination of pineapple juice, lemongrass, ginger, apple, leaving a very juicy aftertaste.
- Xinca Mitú – a speciality blend featuring 50% Colombian beans and 50% Guatemalan. With tasting notes of melted chocolate, mixed nuts, red apples and oranges, featuring wine undertones and a creamy texture.
These coffees are selected for their quality, but also for the incredible people and projects behind them.
Our Limited Edition Series
“All of our coffee is special – but these limited editions are uniquely rare. We source some of the world’s finest beans, then craft a tailored roast to bring out their best. The end result is a unique and bespoke coffee, offered in hand-numbered batches of no more than 200.”
We’ve created packaging that feels every bit as special as the coffee inside. A soft, sophisticated light blue forms the base, chosen for its calming and premium appeal. Overlaid in delicate gold foil, you’ll find a detailed illustration showcasing a visual journey linking our roastery in Ireland with origin coffee farms. Look closely and you might spot a farmer at origin or a roaster at work.
Kickstarting our limited edition series are two very special coffees that were launched at this year’s Dublin Coffee Festival:
First is our Tres Dragones Granja La Esperanza. This natural Colombian single origin coffee gives tasting notes of white currant, blueberries, pineapple, chocolate and caramel. Preferred for espresso-based drinks. Espresso Recipe 18g – 27seconds.
Second is our super special Guatemalan Geisha – Finca Huixoc. This geisha has tasting notes of lemon blossom, apricot, almond and honey. Espresso Recipe: 18g – 27seconds. This is a really special feature for your retail shelves!
These limited edition coffees are only released seasonally and limited to 200 bags – so once they’re gone, they’re gone. This system not only minimises waste, but adds a level of anticipation and collectability to every bag.

Form, Function, and Sustainability
It’s not just about looks. The new bags are flat bottom pouches to stand tall and proud on shelves, whether at home or in-store. They’re fitted with a resealable zipper to keep your coffee fresh.
All our bags are fully recyclable, and our small-batch model avoids overproduction.
